OUTREACH IN LORAIN W/ SZM AND GLC

Last night, with a windchill of around -9F, we joined The Sub Zero Mission and Great Lakes Church Homeless Outreach team in Lorain OH to look for homeless individuals who might be outside and in need of critical warming items.

Thankfully, we did not find anyone out in the bitter cold. It was a good trip and on it the team:

– Setup a tent for Matt who often lives under a bridge, and supplied him with a sleeping bag, boots, coat, etc.
– Stopped at a few temporary warming shelters to check if any homeless had stopped in for the night and were in need of anything
– Looked for an older gentleman named Tido in the woods, but luckily did not find him outside
– The WWM shared your many generous donations (23 Military winter-grade sleeping bags, 12 new pairs of men’s boots, 1 military sleeping pad, 1 pop-up tent, and 1 jacket) with the Sub Zero Mission team. Thank you for your support!!
– The Sub Zero Mission generously donated $500 to the Winter Warmth Mission for a 2nd year in a row to support our mission. Thank you SZM!!
