We received a call this evening from a gentleman who found a man (Rockne) who had just been released from a local hospital and appeared distressed and homeless. The man bought him a chili soup dinner and then contacted us and another group.
We were light on supplies but had this special jacket (see picture for the note the owner sent us), a scarf, and some new winter socks … so we met both men up at a local restaurant to share the donations. While we wish tonight we could have done more for Rockne, we’re thankful to be able to share some warming layers with him on this snowy night, thanks to a very special donation we received from an anonymous individual in the mail.
