Tonight we were contacted by Alicia. She’s been homeless now for 2 months. She has been sleeping outdoors, with no tent, no sleeping bag, and not even a jacket.
When asked how she became homeless, her response was “I was being beaten and it’s a shame because where I’m from there’s no help the police harassed me no one will help me. I basically ran with what I could grab in September. My cheekbone was broken, my skull was fractured”. In response to sleeping outdoors, she said “I dread tonight and tomorrow night the temperatures are crazy I feel like I’m freezing to death”.
Well, tonight we found & shipped her a tent, winter sleeping bag, a camping / sleeping pad, and a winter woman’s jacket. When people in need come to us, the goal is to never judge, and instead think “How can we help here”. We know she’ll need some items to stay warm, so we hope these do just that for her. We also pray for her safety & well being.
