LORAIN COUNTY COATS

Tonight we were very thankful to be able to donate a couple of Empower Coats to Tina, the Program Coordinator for the Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness (PATH) program in Lorain County.

This great program, working through the Catholic Charities of Cleveland, perform outreach to the homeless living outdoors, serving those who often live under bridges, in the woods, and in abandoned buildings.

According to Tina, there are an estimated 250-300 individuals that will be living outdoors alone in Lorain County this winter, so the need is great, and the resources few.

Some of these coats we’re told are slated for individuals who are currently sleeping in abandoned buildings on nothing but a thin piece of carpet, and others who sleep out on porches throughout the area.
