Tonight we ran into Bernadette at a local gas station. We really enjoyed talking with her for a bit. A very kind one she is. She shared with us her story how she is from the Brunswick area, and has been homeless for ~ 4 years. She had her car impounded a year ago and had lost her ID and many of her items at that time.

We shared with her our contact info in case she needs something in the upcoming days to stay warm or dry at night. We also shared contact info of a great contact of ours at NEOCH who assist the homeless with a variety of services, including help finding alternative housing. We figured she might be hungry, so asked her what her meal of choice was. The winner tonight was a roast beef sandwich w/ cheese and a hot coffee 🙂 . We wish her the best, and hope to hear from her again.
