Tonight we met Megan, a kind woman who has been either couch surfing (i.e. – sleeping on friends couches) or staying overnight in her car on & off since October. When she gets enough money she stays for a week in a local motel. She was hoping to get a spot at a campground and was in need of some supplies for that, so we found for her a tent, camping sleeping mat, and warm sleeping bag.
Talking with her you know, you really sense the emotional strain on her, being far away from her family and adult kids who live out of state. She has our info, should she need other warming supplies in the future months. Our heart is with her. Our thoughts as well.
