STREET OUTREACH

Thanks to online & offline donations, we were able to donate 15 Military Survival Kits for the Homeless today to The Metanoia Project downtown! … and also join our good friend Jim on outreach.

Today we:

– Met Mike, a hard-core outdoor homeless gentleman who lives in the woods year-round. While often hesitant to accept donations, Mike was familiar with the military sleeping systems he had seen at some military surplus shops, and was thankfully happy to accept one. We were very glad he did, as he can really benefit from one this winter.

– Met Kelly, who had been given one of our backpack beds from last year by another homeless gentleman 2 weeks ago. He said its protection from the wind & rain “was a God-send”. Awesome to hear.

– Visited a homeless camp down under a bridge near an abandoned factory. Wow. No way to live.

Next on the list, join our friends at The Sub Zero Mission for a future round of street outreach, where we’re excited to share & distribute some additional military winter survival kits for the homeless as well.

THANK YOU again to all who supported our online fundraiser (https://www.gofundme.com/5g87eyjw) this year! Please know that your donations will make a HUGE impact on those receiving them this winter, and may very well help save a life, as winter temperatures continue to drop.
