Recently we’ve been communicating with Michael. He & his family are living out of state in FL, and have been struggling to get assistance. According to Michael, “We lost our home and can’t find help anywhere, we lost everything clothes, bedding, everything”. They also lost their IDs, which makes it harder he noted to get help from local shelters.

Their family of 5 consists of Michael & his wife, and 3 children (two girls 17 & 18) and one boy (13).

Since they were living outside of a person’s house in a single make-shift tent (out of a tarp), we ordered the following warming items for him & his family:
– Sleeping pads/mats, shoes for his daughter, jacket for his wife, sleeping bags for his wife & 2 daughters
– Sleeping bags for him & his son
– Two (2-3) person tents, and a jacket for his other daughter

We don’t come across families w/ children experiencing homelessness as often, but it always saddens us to see kids in the mix having to deal with this as well. Thanks to you all & your kind donations, we were able to offer some comfort & warmth today.
