Today we met Challen, who we’ve been in touch with for the last few days. He was evicted by his landlord 2 months ago after he was unable to pay his last rent on time. Since then he has been living outdoors behind an apartment building in a vacant lot. During the day he has been borrowing a cell phone & also a tent from a friend to avoid the cold. He is currently applying for a maintenance job with the city.

We say this often, but what a good soul. Challen was super nice & very thankful for the warming items. Thanks to the generosity of many recent donations, we were able to share with him: a tent, a winter sleeping bag, sleeping pad, hand warmers, socks, a hat, gloves, and 2 jackets.
