On a cold winter’s day after the snow fell last night, we joined our great outreach team partners Jim and (nurse) Nancy in downtown Cleveland this morning on homeless outreach.
Thanks to your many wonderful donations, we were able to share the following winter warming items with those in need:
– 25 pop-up tents
– 5 winter sleeping bags
– 40 sets of hand warmers
– 22 pairs of gloves
– 14 hats
– 4 coats
– 7 scarves
– 6 pairs of socks
Today on our trip we also met:
– Sheila & her boyfriend, who were living in a tent by the highway, in need of a few sleeping bags
– Eve, sleeping in a tent on a sidewalk, in need of some food & water
– Anthony, who has lost some of his fingertips due to frostbite, sleeping in an alleyway under a blue tarp
– Argentina, who is 7 months pregnant and, with her husband Philip, were looking for housing today
